Cavern Lurker Dragons are nocturnal ambush predators. Although small, they are very aggressive and will attack anything weak enough to be overpowered. Their preferred method of hunting is to lie in wait in a cave, burrow, or other small, enclosed space; when any potential prey passes they will lunge out to grab hold of the unsuspecting victim and drag it back into the lair. Cavern Lurkers have an odd aversion to sunlight and almost never venture out during the day. More commonly sighted are the odd piles of bones they stack near the entrance to their dens. Their mating call is a low-pitched bumping noise.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Regan is the second leader of the Libra Clan, coming to power after Valkyrie stood down in protest following the Leo Clan scandal. Regan prefers to remain neutral in the struggle between the two powers, and will often vote for what she believes to be right, regardless of clan politics. Regan's marriage to Kipey, the leader of the Scorpio Clan has often led to calls of bias, but Regan does not care. Her refusal to make any allies other than her husband has worked so far, but those in her clan are critical of this move, as should the Libra Clan be involved in a scandal then Regan will be left isolated and could easily be weakened by the Council of Clans. Regan, however, believes that if something should happen, others will try to bribe her into supporting them, so she should not worry. On the positive side, her refusal to take sides means that her proposals are easier to push through, and her neutrality means that those who have sides are more likely to listen to her opinions.
