Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

It really can't stand that the cheese-loving split dragon, Macaroni and Cheese, keeps trying to steal a bite. Really now, just because it is made of their favorite type of cheese does not mean that it's OK to nibble on a tail, or perhaps a wing. It is considering heading back into the cellar to ripen some more, in hopes to acquire an unpleasant amount of ammonia. You know, to ward off the snacking split!
