Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Tliracen is the son of Tleronauce, an exemplary warrior. He follows his father's steps, having from childhood focused on fighting skill and magic, honing his prowess in battle until he is a match for nearly any dragon.

Tliracen has not neglected non-combat skills, considering quick wits often equal to sheer power, and takes great care to sharpen his mind along with his might. He keeps his skills , seeking out forest creatures to hunt or dueling other dragons. He also helps to train young dragons in how to fight. He thus becomes a well-known figure, more popular and social than his father, though despite Tliracen's intense training, his father's power remains slightly superior.

Tliracen is married to the black dragon Cirinil, and the two share a happy life together. Neither of them are inclined to move far from the cave, and both prefer to spend time in each other's company.
