Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Betham lives at a hospital for the mentally wounded. They take all patients, whether they had an unfortunate meeting with certain dragons, were cursed, or developed illness through age or birth defects. While many doctors in the hut have magics that can remove curses and Halloween dragon terrors, Betham is one of the few who can partially mitigate age-related inflictions. Her understanding of "old-timer's madness"—people in the hospital do away with niceties and euphemisms—is beyond the other healers' comprehension. She refuses to treat patients who don't wish to be kept alive, a point of contention with the other staff. However long or often they quarrel about it, Betham won't change her mind. She is usually awake at night and draws her power from the moons, especially Aurax. During the day, she sleeps beside the patients, her presence having a calming effect on them.
