Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Venerian was named right after he hatched, when he was close in color to the surface of a planet not far from the one where the dragons reside, while the color of his eyes reminded his caretakers of the volcanic activity on that planet. He sometimes procures a sash or cape to wear but is picky about the material, color, and texture of each article, preferring those that stand out from his scales. The vampire tends to strut, though it's hard to say if he walks that way on purpose. Venerian is snarky and sometimes cruel, but manages to have a few close friends, with whom he socializes at sunset. He also rarely bites eggs. Many vampires will do so only if they want another vampire in their ranks, but Venerian's reason for turning one, "that shell color with this area's warm tone... that's a no-no" is a quite unique one.
