Swallowtail Dragons are graceful and quick flyers, much like their namesake bird. They are capable of precise aerial acrobatics, and can reach very high altitudes. Because of this, humans observing these dragons are often astonished at how large they are when confronted up close. A Swallowtail’s diet consists of insects and small mammals plentiful in temperate forests. These dragons are also made remarkable by their paper-thin wing membranes, which allow light to pass through, creating an astonishing effect on starry nights.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Topazziel Mystal GloryMorn (Clan Mystal) was born the 214th Clan Mystal dragon, a generous and kind dragon if ever there was one. Only the second of her kind born into the clan cave, she embodies the very spirit of The Clan Mother's hope and wonder, and she truly is a gentle giant. Despite her size, she is an accomplished flyer, like others of her kind, and loves to soar through the sky on her beating wings.  Though she is very graceful and agile in flight, her take-offs and landings leave much to be desired, for she sometimes struggles against the concepts of gravity and initial motion.  Because of this, her father tends to watch over her, and announces her presence to those on the ground below. It is not unusual to see a flurry of movement and heightened activity whenever she begins her descent from the heavens. She does not seem to take offense, instead adding her voice to the booming calls that signal her arrival, not unlike the bugle that trumpets a royal entrance!
