Named after their cloudy, ashen scales, Ash Dragons are large, gentle beasts, although their faces can give unaccustomed folk a fright. Their tough scales and sheer size make them infrequent attack targets, traits that explain why pygmy dragons and other small dragon breeds can often be seen riding on their backs, hiding amongst their large spiked scales. Though they tend to be mostly quiet, Ash dragons have a low, deep roar that is typically only used to threaten or call to others of their kind.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Ash and Ye Shall Receive is well-respected in Lloyprij, where the town mayor has officially hired her as a civil servant. She wanders around town, and those who have things they want to get rid of pile those things on her back. Many of these things are still useable, or are repairable but it's not worth it for their current owner. If someone asks Ash for something she happens to have—whole or in parts from multiple sources—she will happily bring it out. Ash collects the detritus in two of the large craters that are remnants of some long-forgotten magical war or other, one for things she thinks can be re-used, and the other for things that won't. She never goes into the second crater herself, because—so she's claimed—things that fall in sometimes vanish "between one second and the next". Those with an affinity for chronomancy either disbelieve her or are very disturbed about the nature of the crater.
