Hailing from northern climes, the Boreal Dragon prefers cold, snowy weather. A very secretive and solitary breed, they rarely descend from the mountains they call home. The breed communicates over long distances via loud, low-pitched bellows. These calls often cause avalanches at the peril of any creature unable to run or fly away to safety.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Although he'll stop to chat with others if they get his attention, Kieser never starts a conversation himself. He doesn't ask for help, although there are times where other dragons have tried offering help, to which he's responded, "No, thank you. I bumped my head on purpose" or "No, thank you. I can handle this swarm myself" or something else equally polite and somewhat unconvincing. Apparently, he's being truthful. More than once, he was in some kind of position that should've killed him but still insisted he was fine being left alone, and some time later, he's spotted gathering materials in the forest as he usually does, as if nothing had occurred.
