Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It perfectly depicts winter weather.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Why So Cold is well-named.  The little male outwardly hates the company of any dragons that are not Winters; he complains endlessly that they are too warm, until they leave him in peace.  He believes that all dragons are beneath him, thinking that he is a perfect Seasonal specimen that can do no wrong.  Cold is highly intelligent, and spends much time scheming amongst the hatchlings, feeding them lies and wrongs to turn them against each other.  Having been banished from the home cave twice, he always finds himself crawling back to the dragons that he hates, starving and unable to fend for himself due to the fact that he refused to associate himself with the other hatchlings when they were learning to hunt.  His silent and uncomfortably apologetic manner towards the others only lasts until one of the 'warm' dragons ventures too near him.
