Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Florescent Stripe the Ruthless is the fastest dragon in the clan. Unfortunately, he is also very proud of this ability, and he brags almost constantly about it. He likes to win, and he likes to believe he is unbeatable. Most other dragons dislike him for his rude ways and his incessant bragging about himself and how fast and handsome he is. The only dragons who really, truly like him are his three mates, Poison Link the Brave, Crystal the Vain, and Lilypad the Floating, and he returns this same affection towards them. In fact (although he can't admit this to anyone but himself) he might even be willing to give up his speed and good looks if it would keep them safe from harm.
