Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It skitters around in the shadows, seemingly repelled by light.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Cerberus' name was given for its devilish dog-like appearance, which many are vaguely alarmed by (but rarely rude enough to say it). Berus spends its days scuttling around the shadows of its clan's main caverns, feeding off scraps offered to it by passersby and occasionally watching others curiously with its small red eyes hidden in a shroud of darkness. While its presence is unusual, the speechless frozen hatchling is harmless and tolerated.

It denies friendship and seems to treat everyone the same no matter their history together, but sometimes it has been seen watching adult Caligene dragons longingly. It will sleep wherever a comfortable bed is offered.
