Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

iSwJm was once a scientist. He wanted to research mana-transformation in plants, and black-petalled ice flowers struck his fancy the most. For years, he fought with the local winter dragons who guarded the precious blossoms and the fragile permanent-winter ecosystem they sustained, dismissing their concerns of over-harvesting as jealous hoarding. One day, he came across a vast wall of ice. Curious, he circumnavigated the wall to find it was a vast dome, the only obvious method of entry being through an ice-choked river. iSwJm bought a large air crystal and dove through the frigid waters and eventually emerged in a vast chamber where the flowers, protected from hunters like himself, grew abundantly. Seeing the palace proved that the aggressive winters were right, but that wasn't what changed iSwJm's mind about harvesting the black-petalled ice flowers. Mbl0o, the blusang who created the wall, and whose devotion to the flowers led her to create the igloo-fortress, did.
