What they lack in size and strength, Tatterdrakes make up for in aggression and ferocity. Any perceived threat is seen as a challenge and met with complete hostility; fights for territory are so commonplace that many older Tatterdrakes possess wings so ripped from fighting that they can no longer fly. Tatterdrakes are exclusively solitary except when they are seeking mates, for which they also clash.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

Ekow is high-strung despite her boldness. She'll wander close to the community center of Victor-Oscar and gaze at the posts and courier activity, only to jump a couple of wingspans and flail wildly when someone sneaks up on her. Most dragons view her as a pesky, stupid thing that prevents them from conducting business, but a handful have taken a shine to her, hence her having a name. Ekow is easy to sneak up on, so the peaceful denizens either avoid her or make noise to ensure she knows they're coming and doesn't lash out. She doesn't attack dragons unprovoked except for any she seems to mistake for another species. After the incident with the almerald who contributed to her hole-riddled wings with his stylus and bombarded her brain with a tirade about how behind he was in his work, she seemed to have decided that any creature with hair on its head is a dragon and shouldn't be targeted. Humans are puzzled that Ekow backs away from them and their horses, but they're not complaining.
