Vremya Drakes are known for their impeccable abilities to alter time as an instinctual response to external stimuli. Whenever they feel threatened or startled, Vremya Drakes are capable of locking their target into a temporary time loop, allowing the drakes to escape unscathed. This attachment to time magic also supplies them insight to potential outcomes a few moments ahead to give them an advantage in dangerous situations. Many instances of deja vu have been attributed to Vremya Drakes and their time loops. Once heralded as the most intelligent drake breed, they are actually not much smarter than the average drake, but their unique method of distracting enemies has falsely given them a reputation of cunning and acumen.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

Parp Green is usually regarded as an unwelcome pest in town. People don't know much about vremya drakes but know this one is capable of magic, having seen it firsthand many times. It's hard to keep count unless one spectates from afar, out of his magical range. The townsfolk quickly learned after a couple of visits that right before he does that annoying time magic thing on them, he makes a funny bark... or, rather, "PARP". Then, people discovered that if he's prevented from making that vocalization, he doesn't do that annoying time magic thing. Some sneaky kids have been tasked with tying his mouth shut or reciting a silencing spell to him, whichever fits the situation. A few camps have arisen: one group feels that this is a mean thing to do to a wild animal who doesn't know better, another says they're far too nice and should just kill the annoying creature to avoid more work later, and the third camp can't remember ever seeing the drake before and have little opinion on the matter.
