Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Traveling Merchant goes by several names, but most people simply call him Traveling Merchant. During the night, he straightens up his belongings and soaks up the moonlight for energy. Whenever he feels like it, he flies to a destination populated by creatures who may be interested in meeting and buying from him. He enters the town or territory sometime during the day and wanders around. Sometimes, a lot of individuals trade with him; other times, people barely pay attention to him, and he uses the opportunity to take a nap. Still other times, though, the place isn't as friendly as he assumed: one or more denizens might try to slay him for his feathered hat, and sometimes, there are animals and other odd beasts that run around causing mayhem. Still, Traveling Merchant enjoys what he does and doesn't mind the occasional excitement, even if it threatens to kill him.
