Mirisia Amphipteres are a calm, gentle breed, with extraordinary observation skills. They are known for their distinct, aromatic, sweet scent which comes from their vegetarian diet—fruit and fresh herbs. Many say there cannot be two individuals of the same gender with the same scent, this characteristic being exclusive for one male and one female, which are said to be destined partners. These dragons prefer to fly closer to the ground during spring and summer, when the nature is animated, while during autumn and winter, they fly higher in the sky. Mirisiae have stunning, acrobatic moves when they fly, a fact that is proven by their lithe, exquisite loops - movements they make when being attacked. With their elegant colors and beautiful plumage, Mirisia Amphipteres are believed to be amongst the most beautiful breeds in Valkemare.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Simanis usually is found sky-high, safe from most dangers, but when he gets lonely, he likes to drift down toward Notrew. There's something about this town that he really likes, and it's not just because he has a friend here, though he can't put a whisker on what about it makes it feel better than other settlements he's visited. He likes to see people while he's on the ground, especially his best blue friend who's a resident of Notrew, who is happy to let him stay overnight or even a few days. He is sure his friend is happy to have him because he can liven up the place. Liven. With life magic. He does try to help around the apartment when he is able, usually involving defensive charms and small errands. The day Simanis discovered that his best blue friend who's a resident of Notrew was also occasionally housing another Mirisia Amphiptere (named Minnis or somesuch), he felt a twinge of jealousy. He's good at holding that feeling in, though, since he doesn't want to appear undignified.
