Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Goldar the Wise was given the name because he represents all that is good and knowing. Goldar was given to his present owner by a very special person who is close to Goldar's current owner. The person known as Kanashiitaka gave it to Darkrious to show her appreciation for him and to help bring good fortune and karma to him. So far it appears that Goldar has done just that, because ever since Darkrious received Goldar the Wise, he has seen a drastic improvement in his life quality, both physically and spiritually. Now it is up to Darkrious to see if he is willing to help Goldar share her good fortune with others around the world to continue the full circle that is Karma!
