Hailing from northern climes, the Boreal Dragon prefers cold, snowy weather. A very secretive and solitary breed, they rarely descend from the mountains they call home. The breed communicates over long distances via loud, low-pitched bellows. These calls often cause avalanches at the peril of any creature unable to run or fly away to safety.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Icy Road is holed up in his tunnel most of the day and grabs whatever's nearby to eat, without care for what or who it is. He is little-known even around his mountain home. However, during some well-known holidays like the Festival of Eggs, he comes out and joins parties, kind of. He dries jerky and bakes sweet cookies and cakes which he leaves on banquet tables, cave mouths, and the like, accompanied with a nice note wishing people well. He takes care to remain hidden, even using concealing spells and disguises if needed. Outside festivities, he's offish and turns away all the annoying travelers investigating the area, warning he'll eat them if they don't take a hike.
