Labradorite dragons are some of the most potent siphons of mana in Valkemare. Dragons and other magical creatures in close proximity to a Labradorite will weaken over time, and extended exposure may even be fatal. However, Labradorites have no control over this effect; any harm they may cause is almost always unintentional. In order to protect others from their draining, they make their homes in the labyrinthine depths of underground caves. Perhaps as a result of this seclusion, Labradorites are gracious hosts to the brave few who dare explore their dark caverns. Legends tell of how these curious dragons traded their sight for wisdom, and those who seek their guidance are richly rewarded with stories, advice, and the odd gemstone.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Something is a master of gem-manipulation magic and speech language pathology, and a know-nothing in every other aspect. He's very thoughtful and inquisitive, and he's happy to give advice, but if people are descending to his hall looking for opinions unrelated to magic or the mechanisms of speech and language, they best think really hard about whether they should really follow his advice. He'll talk about anything as if knows them well, and more than once, his correct-sounding assertions actually missed a few steps or were based on a faulty premise. Once, he got in trouble with law enforcement of Greyberry Heights for convincing the neotropical band to grind up and eat skystrider spines as an energy supplement. Luckily, the Arbitrator Panel determined he wasn't entirely at fault, so he just had to give up a handful of silver and promise to never advise someone to grind up and eat skystrider spines again.
