Brute Dragons are among the larger dragon breeds. They prefer to live in solitude or small groups, nesting in high, mountainous regions. The only time they openly seek the company of others is during the mating season, when males will fight for the attention of females. The thunderous crash of Brute Dragons butting horns against each other in competition for mates can be heard nearly a mile away.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Lubricious wears her heart on her sleeve, and her attitude outside certain times of year is usually grumpy and focused on her own goals. She's very forward about how alone she would like to be. She has somewhat reflective scales and wings, which she attributes to living in a mild climate and eating amphibians, though she admits that maybe her gem-like father might have something to do with it. Despite being the daughter of two Dreamboats, Lubricious is not considered good-looking by most. "Kind of too flat-faced and suspicious-looking," other dragons would say. However, there is one almerald individual who finds her shining scales and emotional openness attractive and often visits her in her home, an abandoned courthouse, which was likely abandoned because she decided to live in it.
