Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Apricot, named after his dear great-great grandfather, has little to do other than be in hiding from humans looking to take his shining hide. Luckily for him, no one is that interested in killing him because he is terrible at hiding. He will stand still in a forest and tell passersby that he is a tree, and his wreath is the leaves. No one has tried to fight him, so his disguise must be working.
