Terrae Dragons are primarily herbivores who prefer to eat from the tops of trees. However, due to their massive size, they must rely on small, specialized scales to absorb and convert energy from the sun. Since they live in tightly-knit groups, this form of energy absorption helps preserve the forests in which these dragons reside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Teran't is a calm male Terrae dragon who loves to bask in the sunlight. He often rests near the outsides of his cave while gnawing on a large bone he found one day. Sometimes, he will get up to go hunt small birds and mice for his daily meals, but that's about all the food he eats. He will rarely get up and take a short flight around the cave he lives in for some exercise, but that only happens about once every three months or so. Sometimes he will follow one of the dragons into the village near his cave and watch them for a while. The villagers have taken a liking to his relaxed nature, and one person even tried to kidnap him once.
