Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Aailyah is a typical black dragon and an excellent warrior. Though she hunts mainly at night, she enjoys venturing into the deepest regions of the mountain forests and prowling silently through the gloom. <br/>Her favourite place to sleep is in the hollow of a gigantic fallen tree, curling her tail and wings against her belly and vanishing into the darkness. Any animal or bird that is foolish enough to inspect is soon snapped up and pulled into the shadows, though not necessarily eaten straight away.<br/>Like Sakua, Aailyah prefers to devour her meals after it has rotted, to the disgust of many of the other dragons. She buries the corpses near her nest in the tree and returns to them several days later, scratching at the earth to ensure she has recovered every last bone.
