Antarean Dragons are peaceful creatures shrouded in mystery. They are primarily found in the desert where they get most of their energy from sunbathing. Their most notable traits are their highly reflective manes and the mysterious light emitted by their scales which fades from bright, nearly blinding yellow-white into dim red as the dragons get older. Legend claims that they are otherworldly beings that came to this world when a meteor struck.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Definitely Not a Chicken is not a chicken, and didn't come from outer space. She insists that the legend of a meteoric object was not related to her kin-and-kind, and couldn't possibly be a spacecraft. The fact that she—like chickens—has feathery wings is just chance. She goes out of her way to avoid contact with chickens, though certain hens talk about Not a Chicken as if they spoke with her regularly. The funny thing is, if she weren't so concerned about being confused for a chicken, nobody would think to call her that. In fact, some dragons make a point of calling her 'Chicken' for short, since it makes her panic and freak out, although most call her 'Definitely', because they don't want to deal with her weirdness.
