Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Minty Mistake is just that: A Mint-Dragon gone wrong. Both his parents were Mints, and because of this he is rather small (not as small as a Mint though) for a Vampire Dragon. Natasha had waited for quite a while around the Cave for this dragon to appear, and she trained him carefully in what he WAS allowed to eat and what he was NOT allowed to eat. He has tried more than once to bite and keep an egg, but with minor success: the 'Sunsong Ladies' of the cave despise Vampires and either save the egg in time or throw it out if possible.

Even though he's 'undead', Mistake still has some personality, much of which was inherited from his parents. He is a bit more shy and patient (just a bit) than most Vampire dragons, and as stated earlier, a bit smaller.

Despite this, Minty Mistake is the oldest Vampire Dragon in the cave, and has been appointed the leader of ALL of them.
