Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sammi Lawrence is an impatient dragon with a fondness for music—uncannily similar to Norman Polk, despite their mutual dislike for each other. However, in Sammi's case, he prefers to compose it rather than conduct it. His impatience stems from the constant distractions around him that cause him to lose concentration.

He thinks that the main distraction is Norman Polk, a dragon who often conducts music in public areas, which is why Sammi will often rush in to where they're rehearsing and angrily shut the whole operation down. When he gets even more irritated with them, he'll retreat to what he calls his "sanctuary" and vanish for days on end, trying desperately to get some work done.

However, lately, he's been obsessed with this deity he refers to as "Bendy", often sacrificing his precious work time to instead sing praises and try to spread his beliefs among other dragons. Sammi has been avoided more than ever since his new interest arose, and many dragons fear for his mental state.
