Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Celeton is a noble and honourable guardian dragon, like most of his kind. He is an excellent and vigilant protector, well needed in his nest, as it is so often full of eggs and hatchlings. He has an exceptional sense of smell, and is often able to thus detect an intruder before he can see them; this has saved many lives.  <br/>Celeton is extremely loyal to Lord Teremon, having once been saved from horrible wounds inflicted by a rogue black dragon, whose poisoning magic is as yet unsurpassed in the experience of the cave. Celeton, wounded in the action of protecting Teremon's first egg, would in the hands of many others have died and left the white dragon completely baffled-the poisons were beyond the reach and detection of most healers. The one will never fail the other. <br/>Celeton is a peaceful, calm and logical dragon, with a few odd quirks; he is partial towards cooked vegetables and feels a longing to fly just after heavy rain. Should he ever die, he will leave a gaping void in the nest.
