Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Fedge is her clan's Chief of Housing, and it is her job to see to it that dragons have enough room to live. Usually this job involves subterranean architecture, and she in charge of directing underground mining and cleanup crews to create more cave dens. Occasionally she may travel to inspect above-ground dens, as it is also her responsibility to make sure that hatchlings and pets are living in hospitable conditions. She can be very vicious and commanding about this--often getting on the nerves of whoever she's bossing around--but is ultimately good-hearted and thoughtful. Though she doesn't much like the idea of motherhood, she is very patient and caring of hatchlings when around them.
