Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Holly Noel is the youngest of the founders of the Flaxseed Ridge Holiday Dragons. He was the one to pick the name of the location, and due to his mistaking one type of plant for another, there actually is no flax in Flaxseed Ridge. He pretends the name choice was no accident, but he's embarrassed about it and a tad surprised nobody else in the community has proposed it be changed. During the day, Holly Noel can usually be found walking from district to district to see how everyone's doing and bring the information back to the main hub of the territory. Though others say that he should stay in the community hall discussing legislation and other governmental things, he'd much rather be outside and on the move.
