Pseudo-Wyvern Drakes are a desert-dwelling species with an unusual bipedal body structure as adults. They start out as quadrupedal hatchlings and slowly start walking on their hind legs as they age. As their name suggests, these drakes are often mistaken for wyverns from afar as they ride the desert currents searching for food. A social drake, Pseudo-Wyverns travel in small packs, working, hunting, and raising young together.
Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.
Especially dim and bumbling, Scrub Jay has such a poor memory and sense of balance, even, that he needs to be accompanied everywhere by somebody else, typically one of his siblings. He's particularly affectionate toward anyone who offers him food, but he's so bad at recognizing faces, that he'll forget whom he likes. Therefore, somebody could attack him out of nowhere, leave, come back, and he'll forget they were even a threat to him. He's highly trusting of his siblings, always following one of them around for protection. This does have its benefits since Scrub Jay is quite large and muscular and can be pretty vicious when angered. He will actively defend his siblings if he recognizes a threat and do so with almost terrifying viciousness. "Almost" because, again, once he loses sight of whoever or whatever offended him, it won't be but a minute before he forgets he was even angry at them. His detrimental memory isn't his only weakness, though, Scrub Jay is also ridiculously clumsy.
