Antarean Dragons are peaceful creatures shrouded in mystery. They are primarily found in the desert where they get most of their energy from sunbathing. Their most notable traits are their highly reflective manes and the mysterious light emitted by their scales which fades from bright, nearly blinding yellow-white into dim red as the dragons get older. Legend claims that they are otherworldly beings that came to this world when a meteor struck.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Known only as "You" (her real name is rather long but does contain the word "you"), this antarean enjoys her job, carrying parcels and water throughout Crule West. She was chosen for it by a lottery held by advisors of Crule's crafty ruler, and she grew to love it. She has said that she wishes there were more hours in the day so she could deliver more goods. Though enthusiastic, she's often distracted by the night sky and sometimes takes a great deal longer bringing mail to a clan because she stopped to document the position of the stars and other bodies.
