Copper Dragons are masters of stealth, slipping silently and swiftly through the forests and jungles where they live. Often hunting in groups, their prey rarely know they are being stalked until the dragon’s at their throat. In the air they are agile and skilled. Copper Dragons prize family groups, spending large amounts of time teaching their young skills. So great is their love of life and family that they will sometimes adopt orphaned dragons of other breeds to raise.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Fate had enjoyed toying with his father, and when the young dragon came of age, it enjoyed toying with him as well. Loyal to a fault, brave in the face of all calamities, and possessing a great affection for those around him, his travels to find a worthy cause to serve led him to encounter a most stunning shimmerscale dragon. She was playful but wise, strong but gentle, dedicated to all that was good in the world--and already mated. A fact found out only after his heart had long ago been snared. The fact devastated him, left him reeling and in pain, that great love with which a dragon selects an eternal mate abruptly and totally silenced. He wandered home to his father and found solace in his wings, the parent understanding his pain and bitter that fate had passed it to his son as well. The copper has since recovered, but only somewhat, his first reaction to new and kindly faces to wince and distance himself rather than fall.
