It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. PurpleHeartHero is a heroic Purple Dragon buck. He is famous in his cave and many nearby caves. PurpleHeartHero saved one of the dragons from his cave as a hatchling. The Frilled Dragon TruthfulFrills, a member of the Dragon Council that rules over their cave. Trapped by an avalanche for days, the Frilled Dragon was close to death when the hatchling PurpleHeartHero came upon her. He flew back for help and the healers of their Clinic were able to pull TruthfulFrills back from the very brink of death. PurpleHeartHero has also done heroic deeds as an adult. One time he informed all his cave of an invading force. He was able to fly back to his cave to warn them that a hoard of barbarians numbering in the hundreds, hoping to get some dragon skins to sell at a high price. The Military of the cave bravely fought off the hoard. PurpleHeartHero is almost worshiped by many hatchlings in his cave because of his accomplishments.
