Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Golden Praying Mantis is very lazy, just like her father. She hunts for food in a similar manner to praying mantises, hence the name (Golden) Praying Mantis. The Golden part was added because her yellow stripes shimmer in the sun like gold. Golden Praying Mantis, known as Goldie, is not very active. Actually, she prefers to sit or lay down as often as possible. She can spend hours sitting on grass and waiting for bugs to fly by or, ideally, land on her green body. Then this stealthy ninja quickly grabs the bug in her mouth. Since she spends so much time on her own, feeding on bugs, Goldie doesn't have that many friends. It's not that she's a boring or annoying dragon, it would just be very irritating to talk to someone when you could be chewing on bugs.
