Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has two heads and growls at you occasionally.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Hook and Loop lives in Japan, a landlocked, rocky region whose humans are most known for trade in pans. Whenever both of the little hooktalon's heads feel up to it, he jogs into a town to an open smithy and squeaks menacingly until a human gives him a bit of scrap. Hook and Loop call this "tax collection". Some humans think the dragon is cute, especially when he heads hold the ends of the metal piece with their mouths and march clumsily back to their volcanic plain. Others don't want Hook and Loop anywhere near their business, knowing what kind of menace he can be in the future.
