Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lord Delkarm is a descendant of one of the few survivors of Lady Altevrys' former weyr (but unrelated to her).  He's tried to be her guide to the modern world, but Altevrys prefers to avoid contact with other dragons whenever possible.  Delkarm is considerably more friendly and outgoing than his mate is, and often ends up apologizing for her after she's offended yet another Zephyrus Courier or lost traveler.  He'd like to see Argent Mountain become a proper weyr, and not just himself, Altevrys, their children, and whatever few dragons his rather xenophobic mate hasn't managed to scare away, and Delkarm has finally realized that a certain subtlety of approach is needed if this is ever to come to pass.
