Spirit Ward Dragons are a special breed that ward off evil spirits—at least, that’s what the legends say. During nighttime festivals, people love to see these dragons, because they believe that the dragons guard against evil spirits. The dragons are dark-colored, but glow with a flame-colored internal light that has an intensity that they control.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Albert could sense the auras of people since he was young; by concentrating on their beings and drawing from mana, a glowing outline appears. Newborns and good people glow white, and the hue darkens as one commits immoral deeds. When Albert was grown, he tried his power on himself for the first time and saw, to his horror, that his aura was tar black. A revelation came to him: the aura must see the future, and whatever he's doing currently had placed him on the road to evil. He decided he would, from then on, better the world. He would cleanse it of evil, thus balancing his future sin.

Albert focuses his energies on young dragons. If anyone he inspects has a dark aura, the Great Leader is informed, and the child is executed before they can inevitably commit awful deeds, thus eliminating some future evil from the world. Parents roar and shriek and try to fight the Leader's agents, which Albert hates, since it slows his work. And he has so much work to do, so much darkness to snuff out.
