Ochredrakes are a curious species with a wide array of mutations and interesting behaviors. Not as intelligent as normal dragons, they only breed with other drake species. While they may not be bright, ochredrakes are flamboyant and fun-loving with amazing, chirping voices to sing with, and tame readily in the presence of a gentle hand.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

A cheerful, peaceful creature, if Loroco understood his master's desire to make him the family's guard drake and teach him to be more aggressive, he would disapprove of it. So far, though, for performing specific tasks such as "Sit" and "Come Here", he gets treats, and he happily does them for a morsel. He does make a fuss when somebody approaches the cabin, though not out of a sense of duty or anything. No matter who it is, he's excited to see them and will squawk and zip around the visitor, attempting to chase them and grab any food they might be carrying in plain sight. That works well enough for now, and that might be the most aggressive Loroco will ever be.
