Falconiform Wyverns are normally shy creatures. However, when approached, they often feel threatened, and the flames along their bodies leap higher. Females tend to be smaller than males, though Falconiform Wyverns are typically rather large overall. They use their size to their advantage by hunting smaller dragons. The Falconiform’s graceful, swooping dives are said to resemble birds of prey. Falconiforms are largely solitary dragons that only meet in order to breed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

When Xoca was younger, he heard tales of a lost tunnel containing a dead dragon's hoard, called the Eastern Secret Passage. Out of curiosity, he explored the mountainside for years, looking for the tunnel. He even attracted a few assistants. A lucky find led Xoca to a sealed entranceway, and down the tunnel was a room with piles of jewels and other shinies. While Xoca's helpers were away, he poked around further and eventually found a hidden path to a much larger chamber. Unlike the jewels area, the air felt dry and strongly magical, and the floor cracked underfoot. The room contained countless tablets and intact scrolls, with artwork and texts of a tantalizing, carnal nature. For the next few months, Xoca and his team kept digging until the passage went through the mountain. The Eastern Secret Passage is no secret any more, and many people travel through it, though nobody but Xoca knows about the second room. He resides there and regularly enjoys the treasure hoard that surrounds him.
