Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Billhook is a sweet lady who works at the Apothecary Inn, which is an inn but not an apothecary. One of the youngest employees there, she's the only dragon who wasn't there back when the inn was also an apothecary, and she's always interested to hear the boss, colleagues, and longtime guests talk about "the old days". Billhook is from a mountainous region far away, and though there are plenty of royal blues around here, her accent and pronunciation of certain words make her easy to identify. She often invites herself unannounced to the residences of others. When she looks around inside and sees it isn't spick and span, she comments on the mess, though she speaks in a manner that elicits more guilt than anger from her hosts.
