Lihnseyre Dragons are innately in tune with the souls of creatures around them, informing these dragons of where and what life forms are near. These solitary creatures use this ability to evade others and watch from a distance, staying out of sight or soaring high up in the air. As they have a tendency to “see” and appreciate souls more than the actual wielders of said souls, they are rather detached in terms of emotional and personal connections. Though some tell stories of their anger and sorrow being washed away by these dragons or being freed from weariness, this is not out of inherent goodwill; they simply prefer the feeling of peaceful souls. While hard to anger, a Lihnseyre Dragon, once enraged, will unleash powerful magic to sever the soul tether—the connection between a being’s material body and its extra-planar soul—of the offender and effectively end their life with cold indifference.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Tarter lives in a little shelter-house in the Go-Around Barrio, the barrio that many folks avoid because of the many things here that are dangerous or at least inconvenient to the average dragon. Some say it gives them the heebie-jeebies, too. Tarter is immune to the heebie-jeebies and enjoys the relative quiet of her section of the Barrio. It usually only gets noisy when a duel is held, or an arm-chest from the hoary yellowcress field wanders out of the field and eats someone, or a duel is halted because an arm-chest wandered over and ate someone. The arm-chests themselves are quiet creatures, their creaking and pattering only audible if the listener is already too close for safety. Tarter's to-do list includes a plan to explore the field and try to tame an arm-chest, but there hasn't been a really good reason to beyond "I like the vibe of their souls", and she wants to spend a lot more time observing them so she doesn't hurt one and doesn't get hurt herself.
