Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Alor is the most vicious of his clan's holiday dragons, being born in a time of strife and stress. He seems to actively pursue this lifestyle as he spends most of his wintertime seeking out and defending the abused and misused, especially when the victims are innocent children. He spends little time with his clanmates and seeks to improve the lives of as many sad kids as possible before the spring heat again chases him and his kind away into hiding. Though he knows when to be kind and patient, he doesn't hesitate to take his righteous fury out on those who seriously threaten someone's cheer and safety during the holiday times.
