Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Fighting Words is the member of her group who usually halts arguments and defuses tensions. The group may be composed of the same breed of dragon, but everyone has a different outlook on life, and some of the oldest members, she knows, will never entirely get along with some of the youngest. Still, they are all from the same region and share a history together, so they see each other as family. Although she's a capable fighter, Fighting Words spends less time training in magical and physical combat, or at least she seems too busy carrying out diplomatic missions with other communities to do so. She may be the most easygoing and laid-back dragon in her group, but she hates losing, in all senses of the word—more so than losing a game of tag, she can't stand losing loved ones and will swiftly dispatch anyone who tries to harm her family members.
