Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Opalathet Mystal HealingTouch (Clan Mystal) became the 71st dragon of the clan cave through the pairing of Diamondreza, the silvery Ribbon, and Opalderone. Her scales shimmer with tiny flecks of silver and her eyes are a vivid, enchanting emerald. The combination of her father's magical talents and her mother's Christmas spirit have intertwined and express themselves through each breath she takes, and her talents extend far beyond the confines of the clan cave and its dragons. Each day, she ventures out into the wild lands in search of any that are in need, often returning with some tiny, wounded soul in tow. While The Clan Mother admires this behavior, the inclusion of wild animals into the clan cave has left much to be desired, and she encourages speedy recoveries. Fortunately, this is generally not a problem, for Opalathet commands an unparalleled ability to mend broken bones, and soothe aching souls! Much to her credit, not a single creature has ever been lost under her care.
