Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Diamondreza SilverRibbon (after the gemstone: Diamond) became the 42nd clan dragon on the heels of her egg mate, Diamondrega. While her Christmas spirit sister sparkles with gold flecks, Diamondreza glitters in a multitude of silvery highlights. Rumors within the clan cave suggest a rivalry between the pair, but there could be no pairing of silver and gold without one, nor the other. In truth, Diamondreza supports her golden sister without compare, and together they create a mystical magic in the moonlight. The sound that emanates from her when she moves resembles the beautiful tinkering of Christmas bells tuned in harmony to bestow upon the world and all its inhabitants, a melody to stir the very soul. Each year, she joins in chorus with Morganendruil and her heavenly song, to welcome the start of the holiday season. Her gifts of silver ribbons are highly prized by the young dragons of the clan, perhaps only surpassed by her sister's golden ones.
