Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

She is the daughter of Maikaize and Tenryu. Her name means "Valued Blessing" in Japanese, since she represents her parents finding an everlasting happiness in their new family. Rie is a very happy, fun-loving, care-free dragon; she loves to help others, and is a chatterbox. She is very naive, and only sees the good in people. She always kinda figured that she'd end up with a Skywing, and couldn't have been more shocked by who she fell in love with. Her mate, Yoshii, is a Deep Sea dragon. She had been flying rather close to the ocean waves when suddenly she heard a rather attractive voice call out. So she circled back around, and turns out that voice belonged to a rather attractive male dragon. They had a nice conversation, and she took a fancy to him, so she came back the next day, and the next, and the next. Soon she'd fallen in love, and so had he. She was thrilled when he asked her to be his mate, and is now even more thrilled to be spending her life with him, forever in love.
