Blazeback Dragons live in active volcanic regions, rarely straying from such homes. Their skin is thick and extremely heat resistant, allowing them to swim in hot pools of lava. This lava ignites the oils secreted along the Blazeback’s spine, and in combination with their ability to cast fire magic, can keep the flames going indefinitely provided the dragon consumes enough mana to maintain its strength. An impressive intimidation tool, the flames also provide enough heat to keep Blazebacks warm on volcanic summits.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Co-Opt is a force to be reckoned with and is serious about keeping his claws thick and sharp sharp, his teeth healthy, and his body in shape so no challenger at Glop Shan can best him in a fight. The young troublemakers who love to play pranks are too afraid to pick him for a target. He's now dabbling in magic in the change elements, so very soon, he thinks, no squishy magician will be able to beat him, at least not easily. His secret is that he likes head pats. He needs to find somebody trustworthy with whom he can share this fact, someone who likes giving head pats and who won't think him weak for liking head pats.
