Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Diamond Heights' little group occasionally takes care of abandoned eggs (but aren't interested once hatched). He dislikes being on eggsitting duty when he thinks there are funner things. He also becomes impatient over eggs that have received adequate attention but still haven't hatched, and he gives them a frustrated kick while demanding that they hatch. He is normally a hard-hitting dragon who can freeze targets with a huge breath, but curiously, he doesn't damage the eggs, nor do the babies inside become more inclined to come out. Because of his apparent harmlessness, Diamond Heights is permitted to continue kicking disobedient eggs, something that seems cathartic more than functional. Other caretakers remain disgruntled, since the act itself is still kind of horrifying.
