Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male Silvers hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Nailian is the noble leader of Embryss Clan. Currently, he is unmated, his first mate being murdered by Sroasha, his step-sister. He is the son of the late leaders of the Beginning Clan, which is no longer a clan since the split. His good friend now leads to Konan Clan, while Sroasha leads the Ulmer Clan. Nailian really had no affection for Sroasha, other than friendship, and when she suggested they should become mates he politely turned her down, his eyes set on a lovely young Whiptail dragon. To his wishes the fine she-dragon and himself became mates and leaders of the Beginning Clan. This didn't last long, however, since one morning the silver dragon woke up to find his mate dead. He doesn't know who killed her, but he swore to avenge his beloved's death. The Embryss Clan is allegedly called the good clan, because they fight for what used to be, unlike Ulmer which fights for total domination.
