Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Gold Aliendragon is viewed as a loafer who needs better hobbies. However, many young hatchlings enjoy the magical entertainment he provides, to the dismay of some parents who think he might be a bad influence. His favorite trick: by concentrating and moving his fingers just so, he can make water rise out of its container in any shape he chooses and swing the blob back and forth like a pendulum. He started out practicing with a basin of water and gradually moved onto larger and larger bodies. There is no purpose to this, but if he were to consider for a moment, he could probably find a purpose. It does entertain the young ones greatly, who squeak and clap as their favorite golden performer makes the ocean wave.
